What is passive fire protection?
Passive fire protection is the fire safety built into a building, like fire-rated walls and floors, fire doors, fire collars and coated steel. It doesn’t switch on like a sprinkler. It works by staying intact, holding fire and smoke in one area so people have time to get out.
